October is a month of festivities: Oktoberfest, Election Day events, and Halloween parties—we’re sure you’re already preparing your next big event with Tilt!
In the past few weeks, we’ve seen many organizers successfully use our new Tilt Ticketing feature to automatically issue tickets with a QR code and quickly check in attendees at the door. One of them was CollegePartyTour.com, a highly anticipated production tour in the US that travels to selected top universities to throw huge, unforgettable live concerts and parties. Since 2012, CollegePartyTour.com has been fusing high-energy music mixed by renowned DJs, spectacular lighting, remarkable live performances and dance into one mind-blowing party.
From about 600 students who attended the event, CollegePartyTour.com sold more than 300 tickets on Tilt.
Prior to using Tilt, the CollegePartyTour.com team was forced to print out attendees lists from many different ticket platforms. At the door, people had to be manually checked off a paper list. “The check-in was such a long and tedious process, guests were getting tired of waiting in line outside for so long,” says Derrick Kirk, Founder and CEO of CollegePartyTour.com. “Using the Tilt app for check-in made it incredibly seamless and fast to get people in. Tilt prepared us for all scenarios: it didn’t matter if guests didn’t bring their ticket, if they printed it out, if their phone screen was cracked or broken—all I needed to do is either scan their ticket with Tilt’s scanning feature or search their name from the contributors’ list, it was super quick,” describes Derrick.
Moving forward, Ticketing with Tilt will continue to help Derrick and the CollegePartyTour.com team ensure a great event experience at scale. We’re super excited to help them throw some of the most unforgettable college parties in the country! Next one up: ASU on Halloween weekend—and don’t forget to dress up, a creative Halloween costume will get you a free drink🍹.
